Rusk Family Genealogy

An outstanding site created and maintained by Cliff Rusk in Canada. He chronicles the impact of the Rusk descendents on his neck of the woods and provides a contact point for other Rusk researchers. He is also active in presenting "how-to" seminars for the Saskatoon Branch of the Saskatchewan Genealogical Society. Michelle Rusk is the President of the Branch (as of 2002).

The band, complete with two songs to download - Apology Song and Push. Seeing as how they're from Chicago I wonder if they know Corey? Oddly, none of the members have the last name Rusk. I guess that's just as well for their sake. By the way, the songs are pretty neat - I would even consider owning one of their CD's. Founded by Irvine Rusk, winner of the prestigious British Hairdresser of the Year Award. His hair care and styling products are found in fine hair salons everywhere. Irvine's creativity doesn't stop - he's now breaking new ground in the world of hair fashion photography. And who'd a thunk shampoo could be so cool!

Touch and Go Records

Corey Rusk started this label in late 1981 which has become an important independent record label based in Chicago. Check out Amazon.com for Touch and Go Records - the last time I checked there were 135 entries. For more biographical info check out this page at Audiogalaxy. He founded other labels as time went on - a sister label is Quarterstick Records (as in dynamite not butter). And finally, check out the inside story on Corey's dealings with the Butthole Surfers in the Chicago Reader (including a picture of Corey).

From the windy city to the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska - you can join Jim "for some spectacular fishing, awesome scenery, and great camaraderie." It sounds like a lot of fun and someday, when I retire, I might have to pay him a visit myself. Who knows - he might give a discount for Rusk relatives!
